In 1897, President Wilford Woodruff of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recorded on a new "talking machine" his testimony of the events in 1844 when Joseph Smith, shortly before his martyrdom, delivered the ordinances of the Church to the Twelve Apostles. This is his spoken testimony of that historic meeting.
